Partnership/Cooperation With RuneLives
 

I've long wanted to get Dodian something better than what we have currently, on occasion I also built hype around getting things done. Like this time, but never delivered anything. Reason is nobody else has taken it into their hands to do something.

Though it came to my attention that we have some people in the community doing a project called RuneLives. I approached them because it's in the community's best interest if we can work together, as opposed to dividing the community. So this is what we're trying to do now.

With this, we will likely have two worlds for Dodian. Details are quite thin yet, but it essentially means one client, but you may play both servers/worlds. We will also be adding HoocH to the staff team. He will mainly be someone to help me make good decisions for our server.

Great to see this become a thing. I might not be involved but Dodian is still my baby, like it's been for the past 10 years.

But, still wondering. Who are you? xD

To clear things up, I was part of the original Uber server back in 2008 with the likes of Winton and Nottz and many others. I've partially been involved in the community and it's different various attempts with servers over the past what seems forever.

My goal, along with the others is to hopefully bring the server back to light and make it an enjoyable experience for everyone. This will include advertisement to get the ball rolling, help assist with ideas to revive the economy, and updates for both servers.

Basically, I'm here to help with any and everything. (:

So where is the Runelives server?

RuneLives server is currently in the alpha stage. This will eventually be labelled as the Modern Dodian server. Beta testing will start sometime in the next coming weeks for everyone to hop on and test out the new server.

Dodian in its current form will remain, thus making it Dodian Classic. The website will be going through a transformation allowing a portal to choose between both options.

So Dodian Classic will remain same stats/eco on the current server and there will be a new Dodian Main starting from scratch, detached from the current server?

It's gonna be fresh but it's most likely gonna feel very different to what you remember.

I remember switching back to this server back in 2014 cause everyone left because of "Not Dodian" xD

Is the reason I'm happy it'll have both servers. Just hope seeing it delivered.

I hope it works out for the community as they haven't had a real server in quite some time. I do have my doubts however but I hope i'm wrong.

Hi Fabrice L, I was Volume on Uber 3.0 during most of 2008. I made a thread here if you would like more information.

It is currently being developed. It has been in developement since October. It is nearing completion; it should be ready for the general public beginning the first of May.

According to Nozemi's announcement thread, nobody will lose their stats/items during the transition to the Classic. However, as for now, everyone will start fresh on the Modern.
