Default Drop Rates / Community questions!

Hello beautiful people of Dodian.

I was going to make a post whining about how bad my luck was or that my accounts RNG is broken. I poured my feelings out to Pro Noob last night, and he told me it wasn't my RNG that was broken, however it was my luck. That was a deep cut. It hit my core when he said that, however... he is not wrong

So what I want to make this thread-

To My Staff of Dodian - May we possibly be able to know what the actual drop rate is from bosses for items instead of a vague "Rare"/"Very Rare"/"Extremely Rare" ? - If not, it's understandable. My middle name is curiosity.

To make things fun, i'm going to ask some questions down below! Just reply to the thread with the answers so we can all see!

-What's the longest dry kill streak from bosses you have experienced?

-What items have you acquired thus far from bosses?

-What's your next goal for your account?

-What are you most excited about for the future of Dodian?

  • 100% (10000:10000) - Always
  • >= 60% < 100% - Very common
  • >= 25% < 60% - Common
  • >= 5% < 25% - less common
  • >= 1% < 5% - rare
  • >= 0.1% < 1% - very rare
  • < 0.1% - Extremely rare
Is our current rates at.

I appreciate that speedy response. Can we expect an increase on rates as the server population continues to grow? For example - Jarfix is over 700 kills dry on a whip. He's been camping it himself for 5-6 days if not longer, imagine if there were 50 people + on and no one was obtaining drops. I just feel as it would deter newer players.

If need to we can add or remove drops with commands and update it with a tool. What this means is if we find drops be to common or to rare, we could change it.
Our list is dynamic and will update accordingly.

You can even check 1k kill count by examine a npc with a combat level.
This will give a rough idea what you would of got if you killed that npc 1000 times.

Understood! Can't wait to see this server thrive again. I'll continue to spread the word and do anything I can to help. In the meantime, i'll get back to praying to the RNG gods.
