Default Beginners Guide

Yanille - home sweet home!
Here you can begin your adventure by training all your basic skills.

Combat:
1. Just north of the city gates you will find giant rats for low-level combat training. These rats are quite easy to kill and drop iron armour and weapons in abundance.

2. When you've reached a level high enough to take on the moss giants, you can find them north of the city walls. These giants drop adamant armour and weapons. You'll find a very powerful moss giant here aswell that has a much higher rate at dropping things like plate bodies and legs. Players with 16 agility can crawl under the northern wall to save themselves some travel time.

3. If your looking to make some loot, or want to try your hand at skilling on your main, the dungeon just west of the moss giants is home to a group of medium-level chaos druid warriors. They carry quite a lot of herbs on them so be prepared to make bank... trips. With 25 agility you can travel deeper into this dungeon where you find deadly red spiders. These spiders are relatively weak for their level making them decent training if you can stand poison. Loot their eggs for profit or to make yourself some restore potions.

4. If the poisons got you down, head south of the city where you will find some low-level unicorns. While not great for training, their horns can be ground into dust and used in making antipoison.

5. Think you've moved up to the big leagues? Yanilles resident troll can be found south of the city surrounded by his loyal children to defend his honour. While the training here isn't great, the trolls drop adamant armour and weapons quite frequently and Dad himself drops various rune. Kill him enough times and you may even get yourself a silverlight sword - not quite as good as a dragon weapon but far superious to anything made from rune. The trolls in this area also drop raw trout that can be cooked on the nearby fires for a prolonged stay.

In the western part of the city, the local farmers have been doing a poor job of containing their chickens. These can be mercilessly destroyed for their feathers and low level food if you fancy roast chicken.

Thieving
You can begin your noble quest of stealing anything you can get your grimy hands on here by pickpocketing the various citizens of the city. When your sick of the low coin loots from men and woman, try out the farmer located just west of Yannilles general store. While his EXP rates aren't much of an improvement, the seeds you pillage can be put to good use in farming. Guards located at the city gates, and watchmen roaming the second floor of the castle will gain you much better low-level EXP and coins.

Mining
North of the city and the rats you can find a quaint little mine that has ores ranging from tin and copper all the way to mithril. While the quantities are minimal, its a decent place to get started.

Runecrafting
On the top floor of the wizards guild you can begin mining rune essence by using the portal on the eastern wall. If you're not a peasant and just bought all your rune essence, you can enter the abyss through the portal on the western wall.

Smithing
The city also boasts an anvil and furnace in very close proximity to the bank making it an excellent place to smith.

Seers - the forest city
You can reach Seers by using the 'Camelot' teleport and heading west.

Woodcutting
Seers is home to a large selection of trees ranging from oak to magic. You can pretty much train woodcutting to 99 without ever leaving the city.

Crafting
South of the bank you will find Tanner the tanner who can assist you in tanning your hides.

In the shop next to Tanner's, Dommik has all the tools you'll ever need to craft your way to a skillcape. On the second floor of his shop you'll find a spinning wheel that can be used for spinning flax into bowstring

Southeast of the city farmers have been working hard growing the worlds finest flax for you to indiscriminately plunder.

Prayer
In the local church, south of Dommik's shop, players can restore their lost prayer points, or sacrifice bones for double prayer EXP.

Catherby - fish and travel
Catherby can reached by traveling southeast from the 'Camelot' teleport.

Fishing
Low to medium level fishing can be found all along the coastline. You can grab your fishing tools from Gerrant's shop east of the bank.

Cooking
Players can cook all the fish they've caught on the range in the building directly east of the bank.

Farming
In the northern part of the city, you will find a series of farming plots maintains by the Alice the resident farmer. If your just starting out farming, Alice will be happy to sell you all the tools you need.

Ranged
If you can't be bothered to make your own arrows, you can go to Lowe's east of the bank and buy yourself some low level bows and arrows.

Travel
On the docks across of the bank, you can speak to Lorris to charter a ship to Karamja for a fee of 300GP.

Karamja - welcome to the jungle
Players can sail to Karamja by chartering a ship at the Catherby docks.

Bananas
If your feeling tired from all this running around, pick a banana in the plantation just west of the docks. Eating a banana will restore 10 run energy to keep you going.

Fishing
North of the banana plantation you will find a dock teaming with medium and high level fishing spots in greater abundance than you will find in Catherby.

Volcano
Travel west and you'll find the entrance to the Karamja volcano.

At the start of this dungeon you'll find fire bats that are great for medium level training and drop decent amounts of fire and air runes. Deeper in the the dungeon you'll find fire giants for those looking fro higher-level training. Lucky players may even get a dragon weapon drop for their efforts.

Players with 70 strength can push open the door north of the giants to enter the chamber of Balfrug Kreeyath. This boss is surrounded by his pet hellhounds which you won't find an easy task to kill, but may feel their demonic ashes are worth the trouble. Balfrug himself drops the iconic and all-powerful skeletal armour aswell as a low chance at an abyssal whip.

Dragon cave
Anyone up for the journey can travel west through Brimhaven, south into the jungle, and east along the coast line where they will find the entrance to dragon cave. Here you will find green, blue, red, and black dragons, as well as the mighty lord of them all; the King Black Dragon.

will finish when I have more time......
