Suggestion for item progression

I notice that newer items are being added to the game post dodian, skelly and ice gloves for example are now not BIS.

I think thats great and healthy for the server to stay alive but was thinking maybe a system similar to how torva is done in osrs.

EXAMPLE: Ice gloves from ice queen get broken down and the new BIS (barrows gloves) get repaired by the ice gloves to keep the queen relevant.

I know that example is not possible due to the items already in game but was curious if this system is possible on this server for future item progression.

I personally would not mind such system to make older items relevant.
If there is anything that people can come up with I am all for it.
Things that come to mind:
- Boots upgrade in terms of eternal, primordian and pegasian.
- Tentacle whip

Bloodshard upgrade to fury.. maybe a boss added to canifis? Key or item required for entry. Bloodshard has charges similar to osrs.

Zenyte drop from Sophanem similar access to previous.. Torture, anguish/ bracelet upgrades?

Saw you were planning on adding some barrows gear.. maybe break down infinity robes for ahrims? Break down spined armor for karils? Adding bosses/minigame to acquire broken barrows pieces needing to be repaired.
Not sure about the melee sets..

Will have to upgrade our cache for items such as blood shards, why I have not added it yet. The other ideas seems nice.

My idea was actually close:
- trident from kraken and tentacle;
- ava's and new ranged weapon (i'm all for blowpipe as it makes darts relevant) from kalphite queen;
- kalphite king drops pvp rings.

Trident would be amazing here. Opportunity to add more runes as well.
